International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day
The Center for Grief, Loss & Transition is a host site for the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention’s (AFSP) International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day. This annual event includes the screening of a Survivor Day documentary produced by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, as well as a brief reflective program. When: Saturday November, 18, 2017. Registration begins at 12:30 pm and program begins at 1 pm.

Grieving through the Holidays is an annual event at The Center and is typically scheduled in November. This event provides a space for gathering with others and reflecting and remembering. The program includes a candle lighting ceremony, a craft activity, and time for providing information and tips regarding coping with grief during the holidays.

The Memorial Walk for Hope & Healing is an opportunity for people to gather who have lost a loved one in their lives. People come together with others to share their losses, reflections, and hopes for the future. The Memorial Walk begins with a welcome to all participants, and a group walk around Como Lake at Como Park in St. Paul. To end, a ceremony of reflection, names of each person being remembered by participants is read aloud.
