Therapy Groups at the Center for Grief, Loss & Transition

The Center for Grief, Loss & Transition offers a wide variety of therapy groups to help people process through their grief and loss in a different way than they are able to process their grief in individual, couples or family therapy.

The therapy groups at the Center for Grief, Loss & Transition differ from support groups in that they are led by a therapist and are usually are closed groups meaning the people who start the group are the people who are in the group the entire time. Often, there is a limited number of participants (5-8 people).

We recommend people do some individual therapy prior to joining a therapy group but participation in the therapy group is left up to the discretion of the person leading the group.

"Art in Grief" Therapy

Facilitator: Dianna Diers

Meets: 1st Thursday of the month 6:30-8:30PM

Duration: 10 Weeks

Parent Loss

Facilitator: Katie Heckman

Meets: Mondays 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Duration: 10 Weeks

Meets: Wednesdays

Meets: Thursdays 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m

Duration: 8 Weeks

Dates: Starting April 20, 2017

Trauma Information Group: Stage 1

Meets: Tuesdays from 4:00 - 5:30 pm

Duration: 10 Weeks
