Restorative Yoga for Grief Support
Loss impacts us in so many ways. We feel grief from loss in our body, our mind, and our heart. Yoga can aid in easing some of the symptoms of grief by helping unite body, breathe, and heart.
Please join us in-person at the Center for Grief & Loss for this workshop. We will share information about yoga including how and why it can help ease grief.
We will then apply this information with a gentle yoga practice, led by Dallas Rising, Certified Yoga Instructor.

Moving, Breathing, and Writing through Grief : Loss of a Child (Virtual)
Please join us online for our Moving, Breathing and Writing through Grief: Loss of a Child series. In these four 90-minute sessions, you’ll care for your body with gentle movement and breathwork, followed by a period of writing from a prompt focused on an aspect of grief. This series is facilitated by Dallas Rising, a yoga instructor and interfaith chaplain who specializes in somatic grief work.
This group is exclusively for people who have survived the death of a child for whom they were a primary caregiver. The child needs to have been born and required care for a time, though they could have died young or as an adult. This is not a grief group for pregnancy loss.
Participants should have reliable high-speed internet access, be able to log into a Zoom room, and plan to have a yoga mat or blanket, a journal or notebook, and a pen.

Labyrinth Walk & Grief Writing
Embark on a journey through an outdoor labyrinth walk and grief writing session, where nature and introspection intertwine to facilitate healing. As you navigate the winding paths of the outdoor labyrinth, surrounded by the soothing sounds of rustling leaves and birdsong, allow the meditative process to guide you through stages of grief and reflection. The labyrinth, with its symbolic twists and turns, becomes a metaphor for the twists and turns of your emotional landscape.
