Event Details

What can I expect at the Memorial Walk?

The event begins at 9am with a brief program of remembrance. This piece of the event includes lighting a flame in memory of loved ones lost, and poems read by FamilyMeans staff. Around 9:15am, participants will have the opportunity to join in a walk around Bennett Lake while taking time to enjoy the scenery and reflect. The paved path around the lake is a one mile loop that will bring guests back to Jaycees Shelter. Upon return, a memorial ceremony will begin that includes reading the names of those that we have lost.

Who is invited to attend?

We invite anyone in the community who would like to remember and honor a lost loved one to join us for this community event. In an effort to remove participation barriers, we have made this event free to attend all this year, but do ask that all guests register to participate. This event is great for all ages, we encourage family/friends to attend together.

Where is the event located?

The event will be held at Central Park - Lexington in Roseville. The majority of the programming will be done at Jaycees Shelter, which is a large covered shelter with bathrooms and plenty of seating space. There is a parking lot at the shelter which provides direct access to the space. Follow park signs to Jaycees Shelter.
